Deilmison van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aírton de Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deilmison van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. Aírton de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Deilmison van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aírton de Lima. Motta Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deilmison van Basten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aírton de Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xie Ao got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Xie Ao. Motta Futebol Clube's Aírton de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Aírton de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Sabóia in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's Válbson de Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodriguinho Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Lu Ladron could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Rodriguinho Sousa however easily saved by the left post. Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Motta Futebol Clube's zone, Deilmison van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton de Lima came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Heitor Maldini was substituted for Betão Marquez. ATHLETICO PRaiano made a substitution. Gu Zhan Cheng replaced Simão do Vale. After 74 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aírton de Lima was left in no man's land by his defense there! Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 82nd minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aírton de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
