After a rather tough play, Philadelphia Union FC's Tymur Drabenyuk got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Alvaro Lop came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the New York CitY CopS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Lop couldn't finish the play. New York CitY CopS's Clay Regazzoni got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Philadelphia Union FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Licerio came free, but Dmytro Zhak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Licerio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dmytro Zhak firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dmytro Zhak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clay Regazzoni in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Philadelphia Union FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Saron to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Licerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Americo Txilar kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Benigno Ibañez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dmytro Zhak having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Myroslav Zanevskyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Portillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Licerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dmytro Zhak made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Dmytro Zhak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Licerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the game, New York CitY CopS's Clay Regazzoni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dmytro Zhak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 62 minutes into the match, Philadelphia Union FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clay Regazzoni came free, but Dmytro Zhak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dmytro Zhak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clay Regazzoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Licerio in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dmytro Zhak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Philadelphia Union FC's Dmytro Zhak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Licerio in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Cesaro in the 73rd minute of play forced Philadelphia Union FC's goalkeeper Dmytro Zhak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Ibañez in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
