When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Nicodème Lamoureux took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sonny Alén to make any attempt to save it. 6 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto James came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Dracena came free, but Modesto Oakley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Caio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Kamil Momodu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Oakley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Fernando Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's Modesto Oakley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Modesto Oakley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Dracena's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute Fernando Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Oakley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goal looked a bit too open when Kamil Momodu came free, but Modesto Oakley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Modesto Oakley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamil Momodu in the 26th minute of play. Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Bruno, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 32nd minute Kamil Momodu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Oakley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Modesto Oakley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Ortaçgil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sonny Alén was a little too slow when Nicodème Lamoureux got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. Modesto Oakley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamil Momodu in the 40th minute of the match. Antony Bruno in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sonny Alén, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Modesto Oakley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamil Momodu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 49th minute of the match Bornova got a corner. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Dracena ran over to the corner to take the kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kamil Momodu was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goalkeeper Modesto Oakley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kamil Momodu. After 57 played minutes Gracias a la Pelota - DAM got a freekick which was hit by Tony Nanuk. Modesto Oakley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Dracena in the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Fernando Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bornova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anderson Kinsey hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Reinaldo Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beyhan Oğuztüzün to maneuver through the defense. Savion Labra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Alén having to interfere. Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savion Labra, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Boniek came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sonny Alén came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's Kazimierz Boniek. But to his dismay, Kazimierz Boniek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Hüseyin Rahmi Ortaçgil came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Bornova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hüseyin Rahmi Ortaçgil couldn't finish the play. Kamil Momodu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Modesto Oakley made a huge save. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
