An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Dracena in the 3rd minute of play forced Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Marian Kajfasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute Fernando Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Kajfasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Bykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szymon Naskrent in the 7th minute of the match. Marian Kajfasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Dracena in the 8th minute of the match. Marian Kajfasz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kamil Momodu's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 14th minute Ryszard Bykowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ahmet Nafiz Özilter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pogoń Szczecin's Marian Kajfasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Nafiz Özilter in the 19th minute of play. Marian Kajfasz came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Bornova's Beyhan Oğuztüzün. But to his dismay, Beyhan Oğuztüzün quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 27 minutes, Kamil Momodu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pogoń Szczecin's Marian Kajfasz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Pogoń Szczecin booed when Bornova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yusuf Bahadır Rahmet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Szymon Naskrent stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bornova's Yusuf Bahadır Rahmet pulled a muscle in his back after 51 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ryszard Bykowski's late challenge caught a Bornova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryszard Bykowski helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Ryszard Bykowski. In the 55th minute, Kamil Momodu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bornova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamil Momodu got free with Marian Kajfasz in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krzysztof Mochadlo in the 63rd minute of the match. If Ahmet Nafiz Özilter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kamil Momodu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Marian Kajfasz made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hüseyin Rahmi Ortaçgil got free with Marian Kajfasz in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pogoń Szczecin made a substitution. Tymoteusz Bartoszek replaced Szymon Naskrent. After 76 minutes Pogoń Szczecin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Dracena who took care of the corner kick. Bornova's Fernando Dracena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marian Kajfasz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Krzysztof Mochadlo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pogoń Szczecin defense, Ahmet Nafiz Özilter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marian Kajfasz. The Pogoń Szczecin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marian Kajfasz should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Pogoń Szczecin getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tolek Kisiel hit a great ball. Ahmet Nafiz Özilter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Kajfasz having to interfere. Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krzysztof Mochadlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Marian Kajfasz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kamil Momodu in the 89th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Nafiz Özilter during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bornova's Ahmet Nafiz Özilter got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Kamil Momodu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marian Kajfasz. The goal made the score 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Bornova left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pogoń Szczecin.
