With an all-out effort, Los Merengues's Omar Conrao threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roch Chowaniec, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ulryk Tylenda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Hermon in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roch Chowaniec in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Conrao saved Domínguez AFC from getting behind. Los Merengues's Ulryk Tylenda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Hermon in the 19th minute of play. Ulryk Tylenda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Hermon in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Roch Chowaniec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Omar Conrao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Los Merengues's Czeslaw Ryback got a free kick in the 24th minute. Domínguez AFC's Omar Conrao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Kuszczak in the 27th minute of play. Bartolo Karlo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ulryk Tylenda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Hermon in the 34th minute of the match. Lorenzo Pes kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Domínguez AFC's Omar Conrao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Domínguez AFC from getting a goal against them. Jairo Tino kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play, Domínguez AFC's Fidel Gaitano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulryk Tylenda was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Tino was the one to do the kick off. Omar Conrao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iwo Kuszczak went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ulryk Tylenda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Tino in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match Domínguez AFC got a corner. Los Merengues's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Artemio Cidro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Artemio Cidro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Merengues's Ulryk Tylenda did a great save. Jairo Tino struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ulryk Tylenda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Domínguez AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Los Merengues's zone, Sven-Ove Colin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulryk Tylenda came out of the goal and Sven-Ove Colin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Domínguez AFC booed when Los Merengues was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roch Chowaniec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Conrao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Kuszczak in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute Los Merengues were awarded a corner. Czeslaw Ryback went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Los Merengues's Czeslaw Ryback to fire away a dangerous shot which Omar Conrao despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Omar Conrao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Chowaniec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Hermon in the 76th minute of play forced Los Merengues's goalkeeper Ulryk Tylenda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Domínguez AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Kuszczak came free, but Omar Conrao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulryk Tylenda acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sven-Ove Colin. Los Merengues's Tiaguinho Arósio was substituted for Mieszko Tomporowski. In the 83rd minute, Roch Chowaniec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Merengues fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Fidel Gaitano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ulryk Tylenda made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Los Merengues players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
