To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremy Horseman made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Maciel in the 52nd minute of play forced Mordham FC's goalkeeper Tiger Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gary Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Hidayat Rajah made a huge save. After 54 played minutes Tampines Rovers Football got a freekick which was hit by Amir Au. After some careless play in the Tampines Rovers Football defense, Ronny Tubbs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hidayat Rajah. The Tampines Rovers Football fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hidayat Rajah should have stopped the shot. Tampines Rovers Football's Hidayat Rajah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Horseman in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Tampines Rovers Football's goalkeeper Hidayat Rajah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gary Byrne.
