C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Damaso Roldanillo had great luck who in the 26thth minute grab hold of the ball when Anaia Barba from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Intxixu Porregimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes Noroeste Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Mendonça. In the 34th minute, Téo Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s Ronaldinho Romero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sergio Montrel's late challenge caught a Mexilhão F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Montrel helped the player get up and apologised. Sergio Montrel kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Damaso Roldanillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Germano Pernambucano went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Noroeste Paulista getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Nuno de Andrade hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anaia Barba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s Ronaldinho Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damaso Roldanillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexilhão F. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronaldinho Romero in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Germano Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damaso Roldanillo was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldinho Romero in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damaso Roldanillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anaia Barba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. C.'s Germano Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damaso Roldanillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 89th minute of the match Mexilhão F. C. got a corner. Noroeste Paulista's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ronaldinho Romero ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ronaldinho Romero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damaso Roldanillo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Germano Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexilhão F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Germano Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Roldanillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damaso Roldanillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Anselmo Iovine kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
Mexilhão F. C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
