The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AYYILDIZ getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ali Nejat Atay hit a great ball. Olaf Gall took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anselmo Furlan. AYYILDIZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. AYYILDIZ's Anselmo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Nogueira in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Samuel Tome left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yalapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 21st minute, Leonardo Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Tome, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Yalapa defense, Antonio Romino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basri İhtiyar. The Yalapa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basri İhtiyar should have stopped the shot. AYYILDIZ's Anselmo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Nogueira in the 32nd minute of play. Antonio Romino came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Basri İhtiyar could save by the left post. Lukas Kvarnström hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Olaf Gall hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. The supporters of AYYILDIZ booed when Yalapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reto Knobel didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Romino made a kick off. Basri İhtiyar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Romino in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Tome in the 61st minute of play forced AYYILDIZ's goalkeeper Anselmo Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Juan Edwardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yalapa's Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı was substituted for Leonardo Nogueira. Yalapa made a substitution. Atilano Dino replaced Olaf Gall. Yalapa made a substitution. Marcos Firmo replaced Samuel Tome. Juan Edwardo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Furlan having to interfere. Basri İhtiyar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Ruiz in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Romino in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basri İhtiyar saved Yalapa from getting behind. Basri İhtiyar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Romino in the 86th minute of the match. After 89 minutes of play, Yalapa's Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Furlan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Yalapa defense, Antonio Romino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basri İhtiyar. The Yalapa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basri İhtiyar should have stopped the shot. Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Furlan. Anselmo Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Yalapa played a much better game than AYYILDIZ and deserved their victory. The AYYILDIZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
