Sport Club Mavericks's Honorio Efraim was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Honorio Efraims short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Edinho Lira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Salvadore González might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo de Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salvadore González ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute, Salvadore González left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TZILACATZIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 31stth minute of the game Salvadore González who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when TZILACATZIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Gaskon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th match minute, TZILACATZIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvadore González to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Efraim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Edinho Lira made a huge save. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind TZILACATZIN's goalkeeper Edinho Lira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Honorio Efraim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Mavericks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TZILACATZIN the free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvadore González made a kick off. Matias Gorri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Sport Club Mavericks's Armando Guerreiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edinho Lira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Telmo de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Gorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club Mavericks from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvadore González in the 72nd minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Quirino made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by TZILACATZIN's Victoriano Distiratsu. After 93 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Sven Herling. After 95 played minutes, TZILACATZIN's Javier Chico shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in TZILACATZIN reached it. Despite being the better team, TZILACATZIN failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
