Ivo Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Vikingos FC booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Marco Oier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Serafim Simão got a free kick in the 16th minute. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ulysses Neto hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Vale to maneuver through the defense. Serafim Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Adolfo Cordarrell made a huge save. Marco Oier kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Palestra do Interior's Serafim Simão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adolfo Cordarrell. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. When Ulysses Neto fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palestra do Interior's protests and gave Ulysses Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Vikingos FC made a substitution. Natalio Betadur replaced Igor Havier. Vikingos FC's Edgard Pepillo was substituted for Marciano Isaio. The wind increased when Serafim Simão made the kick off in the second half. Norberto Passos took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Cordarrell. Adolfo Cordarrell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ivo Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Cordarrell having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Cordarrell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Palestra do Interior's Hortêncio Mandrak was substituted for David Vale. After 68 played minutes Vikingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Hartz. After 75 played minutes Vikingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Oroitz. Serafim Simão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Cordarrell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Jhon Barcellos struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Adolfo Cordarrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palestra do Interior. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio de Queirós in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Cordarrell saved Vikingos FC from getting behind. Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Vikingos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jhon Barcellos took the corner. 91 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Simão came free, but Adolfo Cordarrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
