Templars FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Cugat came free, but Dylan Pizzuto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luigi Abela Medici kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Fulgencio Hibai shot from a long distance. Templars FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Gonzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, Oflador FC 2003's Fernando Gonzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dylan Pizzuto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Fernando Gonzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dylan Pizzuto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Oflador FC 2003 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Cugat made a kick off. If Adam Aquilina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Liam Rolè received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Paolo Palos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Templars FC booed when Oflador FC 2003 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Gumaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Templars FC's Colin Cassola in action when he in the 65th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Oflador FC 2003 booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Cuschieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Gonzo got free with Dylan Pizzuto in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Abel Cugat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oflador FC 2003's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Cugat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dylan Pizzuto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Gonzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dylan Pizzuto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Templars FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Fernando Gonzo scored to the left of an out of position Dylan Pizzuto, making the score, 0-3. Templars FC's Dylan Pizzuto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Templars FC from getting a goal against them. Dylan Pizzuto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Gonzo in the 89th minute of play. Mark Cuschieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Oflador FC 2003 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
