When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Candido Alba made a kick off. FC St. Pauli's Dário Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, FC St. Pauli's Arí Britto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leovigildo Zambrano. Leovigildo Zambrano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Lucas Loureiro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, FC St. Pauli's goal looked a bit too open when Ricart Olmos came free, but Guilherme Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Arí Britto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leovigildo Zambrano. Arí Britto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Arí Brittos short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Leovigildo Zambrano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, FC St. Pauli's Ramiro Massa got a free kick in the 77th minute. Dário Schmidt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Leovigildo Zambrano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arí Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Leovigildo Zambrano made a huge save.
