The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Flavinho Tavares advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 17th minute. In the 31st minute Peppino Azzopardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Augusto Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Pizzuto having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Baptista came free, but Dylan Pizzuto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
