In the 41st minute, Rafaela FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Peppino Azzopardi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Mark Borg Xuereb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but German Ourente was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After 47 minutes of play Templars FC's Adam Aquilina was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.

In the 53rd minute, Mark Borg Xuereb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Templars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 56 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Degiorgio came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. German Ourente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Degiorgio's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Mark Borg Xuereb got a free kick in the 60th minute. Leonel Tomi might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dylan Pizzuto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Tomi ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristo Llin hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Peter Degiorgio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Ourente having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Borg Xuereb came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafaela FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peppino Azzopardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Peppino Azzopardi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Templars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Peppino Azzopardi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Ourente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. German Ourente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peppino Azzopardi in the 97th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Templars FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
