When Ramón Abila, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 42 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Serafino Pancho was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Ramón Abila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramón Abila was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Ramón Abila fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Serafino Pancho, passed just outside the right post. In the 57th minute Carmelo Tiniebra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Pickford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
