Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Lynch in the 12th minute of the match. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea was a little too slow when Rogelio Lynch got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 34th minute, Wang Ting Hong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cobresal's Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea got control of the ball when Alan Tavares tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dino Scapini came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Cobresal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Scapini couldn't finish the play. Karl-Erik Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Scapini in the 46th minute of the match. Karl-Erik Hellström came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Cobresal's Dino Scapini. But to his dismay, Dino Scapini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregorio Quintero was the one to do the kick off. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Dany-Adams De Scheper was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Internazionale-RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cobresal the free kick. After 58 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Dany-Adams De Scheper. In the 59th minute, Dino Scapini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Leonel Beltrán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cobresal's Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Lynch in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Dino Scapini got a free kick in the 68th minute. Dino Scapini hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Dany-Adams De Scheper took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 73rd minute, Gregorio Quintero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cobresal made a substitution. Andolín Duvauchelle replaced Gaitano Valdovinos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Scapini in the 88th minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Internazionale-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Hellström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andolín Duvauchelle.
