Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carmelo Tiniebra took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 10th minute of the game Rigoberto Lobo made a throw-in which Rafael Ramos played forward. A collision led to Santa Fe getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rigoberto Lobo hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Carmelo Tiniebra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Sergi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Tiniebra came free, but Teodosio Sergi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Santa Fe got a corner. Velez Sarsfield's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Steve Rogers ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santa Fe's Juan Fernando Pratto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teodosio Sergi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Tiniebra came free, but Teodosio Sergi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodosio Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Santa Fe's Serafino Pancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olliver Van Meirhaeghe in the 34th minute of play. Augusto Cordario took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Pancho. Serafino Pancho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.

The wind increased when Nereo Artaldo made the kick off in the second half. Serafino Pancho came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario. But to his dismay, Augusto Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 62nd minute, Augusto Cordario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Artaldo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafino Pancho saved Santa Fe from getting behind. Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell was substituted for Nereo Artaldo. In the 70th match minute, Santa Fe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis María Guadalupe to maneuver through the defense. Serafino Pancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Fernando Pratto in the 75th minute of play. Serafino Pancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronan Mistral kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Ando Averin replaced Marcos Pacifico. In the 88th minute, Ronan Mistral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Ramos. In the 95th minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Ramos in the 96th minute of play. The Velez Sarsfield players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
