With his leg Allan Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Buffalo Bills's Ricart Mendiguren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 36 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Wyatt Snow came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Wyatt Snow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allan Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Lars Köhler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Lago in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Buffalo Bills getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Alfred Wieczorek hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Palestra do Interior's Lars Köhler threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vitório Lago, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 75 minutes into the game, Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lars Köhler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 83 minutes Buffalo Bills's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niclas Danielsson who took care of the corner kick. Wolf Snow made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Palestra do Interior's Fang Guang Bang. In the 88th minute, Vitório Lago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palestra do Interior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Vitório Lago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Köhler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The corner led to Palestra do Interior's Evripidis Picoulas getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The Palestra do Interior supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Palestra do Interior would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
