Frank Frankfurter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber Basso in the 19th minute of the match. Edinson Haaland might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fiori Mota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edinson Haaland ran back to his position shaking his head. Fiori Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edinson Haaland came free, but Fiori Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fiori Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Basso in the 32nd minute of play forced Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goalkeeper Frank Frankfurter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Cléber Basso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Frankfurter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Basso came free, but Frank Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléber Basso got free with Frank Frankfurter in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Edinson Haaland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fiori Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 45th minute, Edinson Haaland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mete Nared kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Chinese CJ Youth Academy made a substitution. Tytus Orling replaced Lucjan Falkiewicz. After 48 played minutes Vila Nova FC got a freekick which was hit by Mete Nared. In the 49th minute Edinson Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tytus Orling's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fiori Mota firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fiori Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roni Ronaldinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Edinson Haaland kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fiori Mota. That made the score 1-2 in the 71 minute of play. Fiori Mota made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Su Jian Jie sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Edinson Haaland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. If Su Jian Jie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Frank Frankfurter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Basso in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mete Nared came free, but Frank Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Frankfurter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Basso in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Günther Doty tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fiori Mota saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 95 played minutes Vila Nova FC got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme de Carvalho. Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Nova FC from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chinese CJ Youth Academy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
