After taking down the ball on Vila Nova FC's corner Luca Postelnicescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gonzo Maradona quite easily take care of the ball. Vila Nova FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jiang Nan Han was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When Luboš Štencl came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Les Tigres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luboš Štencl couldn't finish the play. But to his dismay, Venancio Prejun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 80 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Prejun came free, but Fiori Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Prejun might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fiori Mota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Venancio Prejun ran back to his position shaking his head. Fiori Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Prejun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Julio-César Romo-Leroux with Cléber Basso as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Venancio Prejun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Venancio Prejun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 95 minutes, Venancio Prejun made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Les Tigres players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
