The crowd rose to their feet as Vygandas Jančiauskas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dan Wennerqvist. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Lano in the 19th minute of play forced SPALLETTE RETURNS's goalkeeper Marco Silvestri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Soroca F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo Tartalo in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, SPALLETTE RETURNS's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Lano came free, but Marco Silvestri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Augusto Bevilacqua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Antonio Nero was substituted for Achille Tullio. Marco Silvestri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Necula, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 88th minute of play forced SPALLETTE RETURNS's goalkeeper Marco Silvestri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SPALLETTE RETURNS players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
