After a defensive mix-up in Falckner FC's zone, Loukianos Staikos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loco De la Maza came out of the goal and Loukianos Staikos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, International Thunders's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Vialli came free, but Stefan Neubrandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Vialli in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Neubrandt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ferdinand came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loco De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaan Aktürk in the 16th minute of play. Loco De la Maza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundas Baleika made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Falckner FC's Segundo San Segundo. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Marco Bilbo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Loco De la Maza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukianos Staikos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ferdinand came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaan Aktürk in the 40th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute of the match International Thunders got a corner. Falckner FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlo Gerick ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Carlo Gerick got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Loco De la Maza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loukianos Staikos to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Urbano Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Neubrandt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianluca Vialli couldn't finish the play. After 68 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Inge. Loco De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaan Aktürk in the 69th minute of play. Gaspar Baraquiel charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaspar Baraquiel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kaan Aktürk spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Falckner FC's goal. International Thunders's Mario Moser was substituted for Oskar Vahlberg. Severino Gabrio hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. During the 86th minute of the match Severino Gabrio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Severino Gabrio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 87th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Gabrio to maneuver through the defense. Falckner FC's Maximo Aritza was substituted for Gianluca Vialli. In the 88th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Gabrio to maneuver through the defense. Carlo Gerick's shot from long distance in the 92nd minute was not bad at all, but Falckner FC's Loco De la Maza knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Falckner FC's Jose Baldovino was substituted for Olaf Ciempa. The Falckner FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. International Thunders were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
