After 5 minutes of play, Sunkens Surtröjor's Victor Blom made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victor Blom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Maicon Palmeira made a precise shot to the right of Sokol Narev. Sunkens Surtröjor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Vicente Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Blom in the 17th minute. Sokol Narev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Blom in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 29 minutes Sunkens Surtröjor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Flavius Marinescu who took care of the corner kick. Victor Blom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Vicente Guimarães made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Maicon Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sokol Narev was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Valdemar da Cunha hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Vicente Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Blom, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Blom kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vicente Guimarães. That made the score 3-2 in the 43 minute of play. After 46 played minutes E. C. Uruguaiana got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Cruz. Victor Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Vicente Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. E. C. Uruguaiana's Nando Lopez was substituted for Valdemar da Cunha. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovani Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victor Blom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vicente Guimarães having to make a save. In the 52nd minute Victor Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sunkens Surtröjor booed when E. C. Uruguaiana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Blom's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Sunkens Surtröjor got a freekick which was hit by Frans Alström. E. C. Uruguaiana's Ricardo Schneider was substituted for Clemente Eger. Sunkens Surtröjor made a substitution. Aleksander Lange replaced Evelio Loi. Sunkens Surtröjor's Anton Galle was substituted for Victor Blom. Vicente Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Galle in the 73rd minute of play. Geovani Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sokol Narev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Vicente Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Galle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Galle in the 87th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Anton Galle sped through E. C. Uruguaiana's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vicente Guimarães. E. C. Uruguaiana's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
