After 14 played minutes America Futebol Clube SP got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Capixaba. Moussa Kabre struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Stefan Rasiak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marquês de Herval. If Jeronimo Rico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute Jeronimo Rico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Dorian Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Rasiak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Rico notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeronimo Rico made a kick off. Jeronimo Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Rico in the 52nd minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Moraes in the 56th minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Stefan Rasiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the game Toby Major made a throw-in which Gao Xiang Guang played forward. Iago Bala who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Dida Taffarel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stefan Rasiak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
