But to his dismay, Natalio Centenales quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Fabrício Jardel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Geovanni Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Bulnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Fabrício Jardel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ✪ XV de Umarizal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Baptista in the 43rd minute of play forced ✪ XV de Umarizal's goalkeeper Domingo Bulnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Bulnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Baptista in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovanni Baptista to make the kick off.
