An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Ciudad in the 11th minute of play forced Les Bistouquettes Bleues's goalkeeper Willem-Jan Hollanders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Tomas Ciudad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Willem-Jan Hollanders. Tomas Ciudad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When Ciudad Tao FC's Tomas Ciudad in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Ciudad Tao FC defense, Bryan Creemers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vincenzo Landa. The Ciudad Tao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vincenzo Landa should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute of the match Ciudad Tao FC got a corner. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joakim Vennerlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joakim Vennerlund got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Willem-Jan Hollanders quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Gregory Algoedt was substituted for Geert-Jan Tuytgans. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Ciudad made a kick off.
