Aurelian Coporan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tigre das Américas's Hulk Fenomeno got a free kick in the 6th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's Radu Păvăloae sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wang Qing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Nicolae's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wang Qing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Aurelian Coporan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hulk Fenomeno in the 15th minute of the match. Sergiu Coșeriu scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wang Qing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sergiu Coșerius short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Wang Qing to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jean Oltean was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, one of Academia Rio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 24thth minute of the game Sergiu Coșeriu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tigre das Américas's Wang Qing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrian Blănaru kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hulk Fenomeno in the 35th minute of play. Radu Păvăloae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's goalkeeper Wang Qing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valeriu Ilinca. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergiu Coșeriu in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wang Qing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rdth minute of the game Sergiu Coșeriu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tigre das Américas's Wang Qing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wang Qing came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Rio's Valeriu Ilinca. But to his dismay, Valeriu Ilinca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 58th minute Adrian Blănaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wang Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Sergiu Coșeriu made a precise shot to the right of Wang Qing. Tigre das Américas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Sergiu Coșeriu took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wang Qing. Wang Qing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Wang Qing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Coșeriu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 79th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiu Coșeriu to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tigre das Américas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dumitru Pantelimon was slow to take the kick. During this time Academia Rio's players had a chance to rest. Dumitru Pantelimon made a great header on Academia Rio's corner, it was just that Tigre das Américas's Wang Qing managed to reach the ball for a save. Radu Păvăloae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wang Qing having to interfere. The supporters of Tigre das Américas booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Pășcuțoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Sergiu Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Coșeriu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
