The supporters of CERRO PORTEÑO booed when Alijilán returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Orti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match, Adilson Rocha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jiang Lei was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jiang Lei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wang Cheng Xiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jiang Lei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adilson Rocha in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, CERRO PORTEÑO's Jiang Lei got control of the ball when Wang Cheng Xiang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mohieddine Ayari kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. CERRO PORTEÑO's Jiang Lei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wang Cheng Xiang in the 41st minute of play. The corner led Alijilán returns's Cipriano Tavio to fire away a dangerous shot which Jiang Lei despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute Wang Cheng Xiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Lei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jiang Lei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Cheng Xiang, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Jiang Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Cheng Xiang in the 56th minute of play. Alijilán returns's attentive Aytuğ Aral managed to snatch the ball when Barto Crespo made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Jiang Lei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wang Cheng Xiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Mohieddine Ayari got a free kick in the 68th minute. Abel Velasco hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes, Alijilán returns's Cipriano Tavio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jiang Lei came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wang Cheng Xiang in the 89th minute of play forced CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Jiang Lei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Co Bayo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jiang Lei. CERRO PORTEÑO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Co Bayo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. There was no doubt that Alijilán returns were the better team. Alijilán returns's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
