The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 4th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Andreas Lindqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Leonardo Trancoso put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. Denílson Magalhães hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Andreas Lindqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Deilmison van Basten. In the 13th minute of the match Hugo Eden shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andreas Lindqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 14th minute of play. Leonardo Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Lindqvist came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten. But to his dismay, Deilmison van Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Hermansson in the 21st minute of play. Deilmison van Basten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Andreas Lindqvist made a huge save. In the 25th minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 25 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Trancoso came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deilmison van Basten took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andreas Lindqvist. Andreas Lindqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 33rd minute, Simon Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andreas Lindqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Eden in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vykans Vikingar's zone, Deilmison van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Lindqvist came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Deilmison van Basten to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 53rd minute of play. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deilmison van Basten in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Lindqvist saved Vykans Vikingar from getting behind. After 84 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andreas Lindqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Bengt-Arne Haglund got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Andreas Lindqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th match minute, ATHLETICO PRaiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitor Beckenbauer to maneuver through the defense. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
