AC LeX Luthor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peep Pronk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Peep Pronk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lars Norberg, 3-0. In the 43rd minute Witomir Ziomkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Bomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peep Pronk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Lars Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, spikarna's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Errando came free, but Lars Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AC LeX Luthor booed when spikarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position.
