The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Alvaro Errando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC LeX Luthor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Errando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Alberto Marquez charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Alberto Marquez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Alberto Marquez hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Alvaro Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, AC LeX Luthor's Alvaro Errando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. August Hoffmanns made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Errando came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match, Anestis Kotsopoulos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maurício Bomba saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pancho Branca was slow to take the kick. During this time AC LeX Luthor's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Atilio De la Cuadra heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Maurício Bomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Haupt in the 30th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Errando in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AC LeX Luthor's Pancho Branca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but August Hoffmanns in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Alvaro Errando came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the AC LeX Luthor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Errando couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Maurício Bomba successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvaro Errando's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Alvaro Errando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Errando in the 46th minute of play. D.J. 赵云 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Hoffmanns having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavian Basten made a kick off. With an all-out effort, AC LeX Luthor's August Hoffmanns threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alvaro Errando, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57thth minute of the game Alvaro Errando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg August Hoffmanns managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when AC LeX Luthor's Alvaro Errando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 59thth minute of the game Alvaro Errando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Henning. The supporters of Rot-Weiss-Essen booed when AC LeX Luthor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pancho Branca didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Haupt in the 65th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Maurício Bomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match AC LeX Luthor got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pancho Branca ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 72nd minute Alvaro Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. August Hoffmanns was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Carlos Alberto Marquez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Alberto Marquez really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. AC LeX Luthor's Tolek Chazen was substituted for Matias Porfiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 78th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Maurício Bomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Peep Pronk came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peep Pronk in the 80th minute of play. Maurício Bomba came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rot-Weiss-Essen's Mesut Özil. But to his dismay, Mesut Özil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Hugo Haupt hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Basten came free, but Maurício Bomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes AC LeX Luthor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximilian Henning who took care of the corner kick. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peep Pronk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Octavian Basten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AC LeX Luthor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
