The audience was convinced that Ramón Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jósef Wandzik was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Ramón Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute Doriva Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmytro Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doriva Sousa took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dmytro Novak. Ghost Hunters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan-Åke Melander in the 49th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramón Furtado was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when Ghost Hunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
