The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alex Testaferrata Viani charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Testaferrata Viani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Richard Lentini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Aragones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deivid de Amaral made a great header on FC JaRo Team's corner, it was just that Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini managed to reach the ball for a save. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Aragones in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, FC JaRo Team's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Thake came free, but Stefan Zdanowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Godwin Montesin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Zdanowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ambrosio Aragones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Lentini having to make a save. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Aragones in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Alex Testaferrata Viani recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stefan Zdanowicz. Alex Testaferrata Viani showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Aragones in the 28th minute of play. Stefan Zdanowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Thake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Ambrosio Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Lentini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC JaRo Team's zone, Olgierd Dawiec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Zdanowicz came out of the goal and Olgierd Dawiec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ambrosio Aragones stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ambrosio Aragones came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the FC JaRo Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Aragones couldn't finish the play. Stefan Zdanowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Dawiec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Godwin Montesin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Zdanowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Floriana Celtics were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after FC JaRo Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matt Sciortino took the corner. Ambrosio Aragones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Richard Lentini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Floriana Celtics's Claudio Bailey was substituted for Godwin Montesin. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. Stefan Zdanowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Bailey in the 78th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ambrosio Aragones in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Lentini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ambrosio Aragones in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Lentini saved Floriana Celtics from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Aragones came free, but Richard Lentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matt Sciortino made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Claudio Bailey immediately put the ball in play. Ambrosio Aragones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Richard Lentini made a huge save. Stefan Zdanowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Bailey in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Floriana Celtics had won after a very even match.
