Jules Hebert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Richard Lentini came out and tried to block the shot, but Jules Hebert slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, Floriana Celtics's Godwin Montesin got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Jules Hebert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Richard Lentini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Atletico Roma getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Emanuele Bolognini hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Matt Sciortino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chu Yuan Jian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyle Thake to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jules Hebert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Lentini was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 57th minute Floriana Celtics were awarded a corner. Matt Sciortino went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Matt Sciortino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atletico Roma's Chu Yuan Jian did a great save. The supporters of Atletico Roma booed when Floriana Celtics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godwin Montesin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Lentini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhonnatan Carranza in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Atletico Roma booed when Floriana Celtics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Vella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosimo Liberti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Lentini having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Kyle Thake dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chu Yuan Jian, 1-5. Robby Baggio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chu Yuan Jian firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match was over Floriana Celtics could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Roma throughout the match.
