Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Jian Yong in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steve De Wilde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute Leon Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lions United booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vatan Enfal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vatan Enfal got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Steve De Wilde handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Björnberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Ediberto Coelho got a free kick in the 95th minute. Tobías Izamit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steve De Wilde having to make a save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
