In the 7th minute of the match, Donovan Daval tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mickaël Maris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 8 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donovan Daval. The corner led Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Staffan Ekegren to fire away a dangerous shot which Mickaël Maris despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Llorienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Laércio Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Walery Balkiewicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olavo Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Hipolito Laurendi got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Donovan Daval came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donovan Daval. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walery Balkiewicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walery Balkiewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laércio Penha's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Ekegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickaël Maris made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Donovan Daval sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Luiz Fábio de Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walery Balkiewicz. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fábio de Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donovan Daval to make the kick off. 52 minutes in the game, Laércio Penha fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Walery Balkiewicz having to interfere. Walery Balkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Walery Balkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Donovan Daval had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mickaël Maris. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donovan Daval was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 made a substitution. Aquilino Cuevas replaced Donovan Daval. 78 minutes into the match, Laércio Penha notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Walery Balkiewicz. Walery Balkiewicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Vale to maneuver through the defense. Mickaël Maris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Laurendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hipolito Laurendi in the 89th minute. It was a well-played corner which Ramlan Kussoy managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Walery Balkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 97th minute of play. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
