After 3 played minutes Distribuidores got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Otsando. After 7 minutes Distribuidores's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexandre Damásio who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Distribuidores defense, Sabino Telinhos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pastor Erlantz. The Distribuidores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Erlantz should have stopped the shot. Pastor Erlantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Damásio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Sabino Telinhos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Sabino Telinhos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Erlantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislao Abechuco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Palmiro Gusmão came out and tried to block the shot, but Ladislao Abechuco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. Pastor Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estevão Macedo in the 27th minute of the match. Pastor Erlantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Telinhos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Distribuidores's Pastor Erlantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Telinhos in the 29th minute of play. Benjamin Nuxila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Palmiro Gusmão made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Tarcísio Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Distribuidores's goal looked a bit too open when Sabino Telinhos came free, but Pastor Erlantz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 40 minutes on the clock, Camilo Jakue commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of SC Farense booed when Distribuidores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Jakue didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Farense's Israel Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevão Macedo in the 43rd minute of play forced Distribuidores's goalkeeper Pastor Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pastor Erlantz came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Farense's Sabino Telinhos. But to his dismay, Sabino Telinhos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
53 minutes into the match, Ricardo Nerio notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of SC Farense's Palmiro Gusmão. Palmiro Gusmão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Pastor Erlantz managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when SC Farense's Estevão Macedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Distribuidores's Claudio Otsando got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 58 minutes, Sabino Telinhos made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Distribuidores's Pastor Erlantz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Distribuidores's Pastor Erlantz got control of the ball when Sabino Telinhos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Distribuidores's goalkeeper Pastor Erlantz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sabino Telinhos. In the 68th minute, Benjamin Nuxila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Farense were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Distribuidores's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandre Damásio took the corner. The corner ended in Alexandre Damásio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Distribuidores's Pastor Erlantz did a great save. Pastor Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcísio Marinho in the 74th minute of the match. Palmiro Gusmão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Nerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Estevão Macedo took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Pastor Erlantz to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sabino Telinhos got free with Pastor Erlantz in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sabino Telinhos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Pastor Erlantz made a huge save. Palmiro Gusmão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Nuxila in the 88th minute of play. After 92 minutes, Claudio Otsando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Distribuidores and the SC Farense players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Claudio Otsando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SC Farense supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Farense would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
