Alvise Spione went to the wrong direction when 邓俊青 was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Ferruccio Galeone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Faenza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schalke 04 the free kick. Alvise Spione showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 邓俊青 in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Ferruccio Galeone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 邓俊青 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alvise Spione tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 邓俊青 was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Ennio Di Tullio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of 朱德升, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by 邓俊青 in the 59th minute of play forced Faenza's goalkeeper Alvise Spione to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvise Spione made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 邓俊青 in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Faenza getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Faenza's goal looked a bit too open when 邓俊青 came free, but Alvise Spione reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Schalke 04 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
