After having played for 14 minutes, Thiago Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gigio Buffon was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Serge Bolado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Serge Bolado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 38 minutes into the game, Guilherme Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Xande Buffon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Guilherme Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Guilherme Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bayern Lessa - u21's Xande Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte de Castro in the 45th minute of play. After the first half U21 Brazil were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luciano do Valle to make the kick off. Bayern Lessa - u21's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Guilherme Souza scored to the left of an out of position Xande Buffon, making the score, 1-5. Vivaldo de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivaldo de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bayern Lessa - u21's Vivaldo de Castro got a free kick in the 86th minute. Gigio Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Zheng Ming in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Bayern Lessa - u21's Serge Bolado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigio Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. 95 minutes into the match, Bayern Lessa - u21's goalkeeper Xande Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kléberson Mazza. The U21 Brazil players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
