Seating: 533, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Doyhenard AFC's Gustave Paelinck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Végeir Geirfinnsson. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Gustave Paelincks short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Végeir Geirfinnsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Végeir Geirfinnsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustave Paelinck went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Gustave Paelinck took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Végeir Geirfinnsson to make any attempt to save it. Gustave Paelinck scored 4-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Végeir Geirfinnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaac Mitxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Végeir Geirfinnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Illugi Ingólfsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustave Paelinck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Akkur Flúðum got a freekick which was hit by Enok Gunnlaugsson. After a defensive mix-up in Akkur Flúðum's zone, Celestino Remigio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Végeir Geirfinnsson came out of the goal and Celestino Remigio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sladjan Waagstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Végeir Geirfinnsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustave Paelinck in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Akkur Flúðum's goalkeeper Végeir Geirfinnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustave Paelinck. If Arif Buğra Subutay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Gustave Paelinck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Végeir Geirfinnsson. The goal made the score 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dvalinn Steinsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jörgen Eðvarsson hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Végeir Geirfinnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustave Paelinck in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustave Paelinck in the 55th minute of play forced Akkur Flúðum's goalkeeper Végeir Geirfinnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Arif Buğra Subutay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Végeir Geirfinnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Gustave Paelinck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Végeir Geirfinnsson. Akkur Flúðum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustave Paelinck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 60th minute Gustave Paelinck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Végeir Geirfinnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Illugi Ingólfsson struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Luis Lluis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Akkur Flúðum. Végeir Geirfinnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustave Paelinck in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Arif Buğra Subutay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Végeir Geirfinnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Végeir Geirfinnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustave Paelinck in the 70th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Akkur Flúðum's goal looked a bit too open when Gustave Paelinck came free, but Végeir Geirfinnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Lluis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Þorlaugur Kjartansson in the 74th minute of play. Fernan Jayvier took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Végeir Geirfinnsson. Végeir Geirfinnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 78 minutes into the match, Fernan Jayvier notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Akkur Flúðum's Végeir Geirfinnsson. Végeir Geirfinnsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Fernan Jayvier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Gustave Paelinck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Végeir Geirfinnsson was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. The supporters of Akkur Flúðum booed when Doyhenard AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sladjan Waagstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akkur Flúðum's Végeir Geirfinnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustave Paelinck in the 96th minute of play.
When the referee ended the match the Doyhenard AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
