Cícero da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Zoran Zahrádka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Amor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Vargas in the 42nd minute of the match. Zoran Zahrádka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. It was a well-played corner which Sílvio Dantas managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Sílvio Dantas hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Vargas was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Sílvio Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Zahrádka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Braulio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 68 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Melquiades Amor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Braulio Neto. Braulio Neto came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Melquiades Amor could save by the left post. In the 80th minute Jacinto Sidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Gauargi. Cícero da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
