The crowd rose to their feet as Cable a Tierra's Vinicio Gerazan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nemesio Firman. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. In the 19th minute, Fabio Machado made a precise shot to the right of Amador Arias. Cable a Tierra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 33 played minutes Bendito Sea El Fernet got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Machado. With a little luck, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Nemesio Firman got control of the ball when Vinicio Gerazan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amador Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Osasun in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Bendito Sea El Fernet's goalkeeper Nemesio Firman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosme Turi. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
