Feliciano Pancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Marcial Bakar made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Sancho. Marcial Bakar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Sancho in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Boquenses's Gregorio Tirso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 29th match minute, Boquenses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Rey to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Boquenses's Feliciano Pancho got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 47th match minute, Aves Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tamer Yalçıner to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nicolas Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Bakar having to make a save. Marcial Bakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Sancho in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Rodrigo Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boquenses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Ferdinand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aves Negras's Efrain Artal was substituted for Guter Tobia. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horacio Matro got free with Tobias Osoro in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, one of Boquenses:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Boquenses's Teobaldo Oier was substituted for Rodrigo Ferdinand. Boquenses made a substitution. Vladimiro Vincent replaced Severino Rey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Artal in the 85th minute of play forced Boquenses's goalkeeper Tobias Osoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Aves Negras booed when Boquenses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stein Geest didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Aves Negras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aves Negras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
