The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tobias Osoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lu Bin Yuan in the 26th minute of play forced Boquenses's goalkeeper Tobias Osoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Gregorio Tirso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matías Patrone was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Lu Bin Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Delfines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lu Bin Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matías Patrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Sancho in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver Bierhoff to strike the kick off in the second half. Boquenses's Tobias Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 51st minute of play. Los Delfines were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Boquenses's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Luis Brown took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Raimundo Goyo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tobias Osoro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 56th minute, Los Delfines's Valentin Primeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valentin Primeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Delfines protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valentin Primeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 55th minute, one of Los Delfines:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Delfines. The corner ended in Nicolas Sancho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Delfines's Matías Patrone did a great save. In the 66th minute Nicolas Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Patrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Sancho came free, but Matías Patrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Luis Brown hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 82 minutes in the game Wilfredo Salvadore did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rodrigo Ferdinand. 89 minutes into the match, Boquenses's goalkeeper Tobias Osoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benê Møltov. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
