Rodriguinho Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Silverio Eutropio made in the 26th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Primeiro Imperiale however managed to control. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Thomas in the 27th minute of play. Denílson Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Darwin Bramantio with Anselmo Thomas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 34 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Plaski came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lawrence Lawless stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deilmison van Basten's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute.
