Basilio Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Romano in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Julio Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Mingo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nery Pumpido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Julio Mingo fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anga FC's protests and gave Julio Mingo a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Anga FC got a freekick which was hit by Julio Mingo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Chus in the 23rd minute of play forced Anga FC's goalkeeper Basilio Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Anga FC's Matías Kranevitter got a free kick in the 25th minute. Basilio Cordario didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santo Romano went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Santo Romano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basilio Cordario having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Anga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Romano came free, but Basilio Cordario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Haroldo Chus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Anga FC's Nery Pumpido threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julio Mingo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 49th minute of the match Anga FC got a corner. Tabossi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matías Kranevitter ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Romano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Mingo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Mingo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nery Pumpido saved Tabossi from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Julio Mingo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nery Pumpido. In the 70th minute Raul Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Anga FC got a freekick which was hit by Xines Ruidiaz. Tabossi made a substitution. Rolando Botello replaced Saturnino Oinaz. Anga FC made a substitution. Côme Berga replaced Mateo Piorno. Tabossi's Armando Bondi was substituted for Santo Romano. After having played for 75 minutes, Raul Erramun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Erramun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Anga FC's Basilio Cordario got control of the ball when Rolando Botello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Côme Berga in the 78th minute of the match. Anga FC's Basilio Cordario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Anga FC from getting a goal against them. Basilio Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olexandr Zinchenko in the 86th minute of play. Olexandr Zinchenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Basilio Cordario made a huge save. Olexandr Zinchenko hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Basilio Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Bondi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Côme Berga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nery Pumpido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anga FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
