Silvano Martxel started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, MAZER SAF's Sergio Nazario threw himself towards the right post 2 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manfredo de Azevedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 4 minutes of play, Waitakere F.C.'s Nicanor Pueblo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toninho Schmidt was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the game, Waitakere F.C.'s Nicanor Pueblo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toninho Schmidt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Toninho Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Martxel in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, MAZER SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Héctor Hernández to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Pedro Luiz Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s Niceto Bizen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toninho Schmidt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Afonsinho Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Renato Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Sergio Nazario made a huge save. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Manfredo de Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when Waitakere F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo de Azevedo in the 51st minute of play forced Waitakere F.C.'s goalkeeper Sergio Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Prestes. Sergio Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Héctor Hernández in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Waitakere F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Niceto Maraman hit a great ball. MAZER SAF's João Carlos Fantini was substituted for Paulo Renato Gonçalves. MAZER SAF made a substitution. Doriva Carneiro replaced Manfredo de Azevedo. In the 71st match minute, Waitakere F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Maraman to maneuver through the defense. Afonsinho Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toninho Schmidt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mateo Marin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Carneiro came free, but Sergio Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breno Bidon kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Tomas Unai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toninho Schmidt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The Waitakere F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
