Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dalmo Rocha started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Batista to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute, MAZER SAF's Manfredo de Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Giuseppe Lara made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Héctor Hernández sent off a good shot on target. Giuseppe Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Gonçalves in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo de Azevedo came free, but Giuseppe Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's goal looked a bit too open when César Alagoano came free, but Toninho Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Vale. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Giuseppe Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting a goal against them. With his leg Giuseppe Lara managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when MAZER SAF's Valdo Sampaio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Valdo Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Batista's late challenge caught a MAZER SAF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Batista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Paulo Renato Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manfredo de Azevedo made a kick off. MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Rocha in the 53rd minute of play. Giuseppe Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Hernández, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor Hernández came free, but Giuseppe Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Giuseppe Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Hernández in the 67th minute of play. 2-0 became the score in the 69th minute when Manfredo de Azevedo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 75 minutes, Enéas Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAZER SAF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enéas Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arthur Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Giuseppe Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Arthur Amaral got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute Doriva Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Rocha in the 82nd minute of the match. Giuseppe Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giuseppe Lara came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by MAZER SAF's Héctor Hernández. But to his dismay, Héctor Hernández quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Dalmo Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nova Iguaçu MZFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MAZER SAF.
