Sergio Nazario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Restu's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute Deportivo Balvanera were awarded a corner. Santiago Sosa went to the cornerflag to take it. Deportivo Balvanera's Omar Fliz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sergio Nazario in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 7 minutes, Rene Restu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Restu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Teodosio Urtats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Amado Handi hit a great ball. When Nicanor Pueblo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Waitakere F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Pueblo couldn't finish the play. Waitakere F.C.'s Sergio Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Sosa in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Sosa in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Nazario saved Waitakere F.C. from getting behind. If Omar Fliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Servando hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Pueblo came free, but Teodosio Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Fliz in the 40th minute of the match. Sergio Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Restu in the 40th minute of play. Deportivo Balvanera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Santiago Sosa in the 41st minute. The corner ended in Santiago Sosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Waitakere F.C.'s Sergio Nazario did a great save. Silvano Martxel charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvano Martxel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silvano Martxel kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Ramiro Quin might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergio Nazario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Quin ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Silvano Martxel made the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Cebrian made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Deportivo Balvanera's Ramiro Quin. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Bernardino Servando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waitakere F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardino Servando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Urtats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Anacleto Toli replaced Bernardo Paul. Waitakere F.C.'s Mateo Marin was substituted for Bernardino Servando. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Martxel in the 68th minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Teodosio Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Tomas Unai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Teodosio Urtats was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th match minute, Deportivo Balvanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Quin to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Quin kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Sergio Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Fliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
