Silvano Martxel started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Crottos Crotters F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Amado Galo. In the 4th minute, Nicanor Pueblo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lino Garoa. The goal made the score 1-0. If Nicanor Pueblo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waitakere F.C.'s Sergio Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Astrada in the 10th minute of play. Sergio Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Astrada in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Waitakere F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Lesardo to maneuver through the defense. Cesar Telo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Nazario having to make a save. After having played for 23 minutes, Nicanor Pueblo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waitakere F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Pueblo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s Nicanor Pueblo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Garoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Telo came free, but Sergio Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Crottos Crotters F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Astrada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Nazario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
